Link between research and business
Change in the Executive Board of VdF HLK e.V.
The founders of VdF HLK (Association of Promoters of Research in the Field of Heating-Ventilation-Air-Conditioning Technology – Verein der Förderer der Forschung im Bereich Heizung-Lüftung-Klimatechnik Stuttgart e.V.) – among them members of the University of Stuttgart – already recognized almost 40 years ago how important it is to dovetail research, teaching and industry. Since then, the non-profit association has been promoting research and intensive knowledge exchange in the field of building energetics, especially in heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology.
Knowledge transfer is becoming increasingly important
There was now a change at the top of VdF HLK: After ten years of voluntary work, Nino Manzi (Bühr Group) says goodbye as Chairman of the Board. His successor will be Steffen Hild, Managing Director of CAT Clean Air Technology GmbH/CAT Group and Deputy Chairman of the Board of the ITGA (Industrial Association of Technical Building Equipment – Industrieverband Technische Gebäudeausrüstung Baden-Württemberg e.V.).
The new chairman intends to consistently pursue the goals of the sponsorship work and thus seamlessly continue the work of his predecessor. Because, according to Hild: “Innovative strength is one of our major topics for the future. Intensive exchange between science, research and companies is essential for this.”
VdF HLK and its more than 120 members are focusing on another highly topical issue: Through the targeted transfer of information between research institutes, universities and companies, the professional field of building energetics is to be made more available. In the light of the rapidly growing importance of energy and emissions reduction, specialists in this field are in greater demand than ever before.
