Blower Door Test: Demand in the industry is steadily growing

Energy efficiency is also currently a hot topic in the cleanroom sector. Particularly in newly built cleanrooms, the focus is increasingly on energy optimization.

Searching for leaks
Leaks in the building envelope, windows and doors can be detected very effectively through a differential pressure measurement – the blower door test.
For this purpose, our measurement engineers place a fan airtight in a doorway (see photo). Based on the measured pressure differences, the airflow and air exchange rate in the room can be precisely determined, thus identifying potential leaks. Finally, the leak is made visible with a fog generator.
